Analytical Exposition
Statement of Purpose: I plan to implement a study of the pivotal role that immigrants played in developing American business and industry.
I will conduct a comprehensive study that can support my theory that immigration played a significant role in the development of the American economy as we know it today.
Methodology: I will review relevant and current information that will include an overview of several key figures in industry that immigrated to the United States.
Expected Findings: I anticipate that my findings will identify immigrants as a formidable force in U.S. business.
Critical Context
Background: I will incorporate material into the thesis that supports the fact that early immigrants were the catalyst behind much of the American business economy and will provide additional information on industry leaders in the early 19th century.
Context of Study: I will compare the contribution of early immigrants to the new wave of immigration in the 20th century.
Integration
Conclusions: I believe that my findings will provide sufficient information to conclude that immigration was a powerful contributor to the development of the American economy.
Implications: My proposed recommendation would be to conduct further research into the lives of early immigrants and determine the impact that their arrival had on the growth of cities, culture and American traditions.
Effects: I believe that this study will provide me personally with a deeper appreciation and understanding about the critical role that immigration played in shaping the American economy.
References anticipate using a variety of references for this research, including reviewing historical material, articles, books and any preliminary studies that may have already been completed. I will use the Internet, the library and investigate other avenues of information once I begin to delve into this topic.
